Have you seen the Facebook and Instagram adverts on the latest weight loss pill called Purefit Keto?

The adverts promise a scientifically proven effective weight loss solution which has been featured on dragons’ den and received unanimous investment.

Purefit Keto claims to help detoxify the body, regulate appetite and prevent the formation of new fat cells.

Let’s look at the facts

Purefit Keto base’s it’s advertising on the inclusion of an ingredient called Garcinia Cambogia, a fruit native to Southeast Asia. It contains a component called hydroxycitric acid, which gives it a very sour taste. It is thought that the high “sour” content of the fruit makes the stomach feel much fuller, so you won’t eat as much.

There is no proper evidence to prove that this is true.

It is claimed that Garcinia can reduce fat, produce more energy during workouts and influence fat metabolism.

None of these claims have been proven in legitimate testing.

Purefit Keto “contains” 100% natural ingredients.

A claim of 100% natural ingredients doesn’t mean a product is 100% safe. Any product natural or synthetic has the potential to interfere with the body’s natural processes and interact with medications or supplements to cause dangerous side effects.

This product has NOT been approved by the Food and Drug Administration in America or NICE in the UK despite claims that it has been. Therefore no one can be sure about exactly what is put into the products.

Fact: The body is already perfectly efficient at detoxification without the need for pills, especially those that haven’t been tested or approved.

Fact: No one pill has been able to suppress appetite without detrimental side effects.

Fact: You need to be able to make new fat cells daily to help with cell repair, brain function, energy production, provide protection against inflammation.  You also need sufficient fat intake in the diet to facilitate the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.

However tempted you feel to try these products please know that the only real way to achieve a healthy body composition is to eat a healthy balanced diet, move daily, reduce stress and get plenty of sleep.
